To Our Wonderful Mercy Dental Patients,
It is with mixed emotions that we are announcing that Dr. Rick Warf is retiring this month after 37 years of General Dentistry.
Though it is sad for all of us to say goodbye to Dr. Rick, this is also a very happy occasion to see he and his lovely wife, Roxann, who did the financial side of the dental business all those years, head into retirement together. Rick hopes to fill his time with his enjoyment of hunting, travel, building, family and a lifetime of continued learning.
It is for certain that they will miss doing what they’ve loved doing so much, serving the very best people in this special community. Thank you for your years of trust and friendship. We hope that you will continue to trust them for this upcoming transition.
As of August 1st, 2026, we will welcome Dr. Amy Pugh and her husband John as the new owners of Mercy Dental. We know that you will enjoy the best of dental care and quickly build trust with them. Like Dr. Rick, Dr. Amy shares the same heart and mission statement with the priority to be a dental office where patient care is second to none.
Vancouver, Washington is where Amy grew up and where she developed an early love for music, sports, nature, and science. Amy's interest in dentistry was sparked by a life-altering playground accident in the second grade, which led to years of dental procedures and significant exposure to the field.
With a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Washington, Amy was involved in research—a passion that continued for several years post-graduation and maintained throughout her time at OHSU dental school.
Serving the Vancouver community as a general dentist for 21 years, Amy’s career is driven by a passion to help others and a deep empathy for her patients, rooted in her own extensive dental history.
Amy's husband of 27 years, John, grew up in Madras, Oregon. He graduated from Oregon State and had a career in civil engineering. John has served as Amy's office manager for the past 14 years, and together they are dedicated to providing quality care for their patients.
It is an exciting time as this next new season begins, and we are happy to keep continuity in your dental care as the top priority. Please don’t hesitate to call the office with any questions or to make your next appointment.
